About Hanees

Hi! My name is Hanees; I'm an educator with degrees and professional experience in engineering and law.

I help students improve scores, build confidence, and finally understand difficult material. Whether you are preparing for a major exam, trying to strengthen your math or writing skills, or working on an important application, I can help you build a clear plan and make measurable progress.

Tutoring is my full-time passion. Motivated, in part, by my own early struggles in math, I'm dedicated to helping students overcome obstacles and build confidence. Focused tutoring helped me transform from a "D-" student into the highest scorer in my class, earning a 100% on my math final. That experience shaped the trajectory of my academic and professional career.

I graduated high school not only as valedictorian but also as the top scorer in my state. I later studied engineering at Loughborough University in the UK before earning a full scholarship to the University of Arizona, where I completed my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, M.Sc. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, and J.D.

Professionally, I've worked as a software engineer across the aerospace, semiconductor, travel, and healthcare industries and am also a licensed attorney.

I began tutoring in college, where I discovered a talent for connecting with students, breaking down complex topics into simpler concepts, and increasing engagement by helping students connect what they were learning to their own interests. Over 25 years, I've helped thousands of students.

With my systematic approach to tutoring, backed by 25 years of experience, many of my students often exceed their own expectations. I specialize in test prep for the SAT, ACT, ASVAB, GRE, and GED. I also tutor math, writing, law, English, and college admissions essays. My background in public speaking and legal advocacy informs my approach to effective, persuasive communication.

Whether your goal is a top score, stronger fundamentals, or greater confidence, I'd love to help you get there.
